Maersk Distribution, one of the worlds largest shipping companies with over 115,000 employees world wide has selected Mitrefinch to provide a Time & Attendance solution for their Vancouver and Toronto locations starting next year. Mitrefinch will deploy its latest version 6 product to allow Maersk to track the hourly pay and absenses of 325 employees across multiple sites in both BC and Ontario. Mitrefinch are providing contactless proximity clocks which will allow Maersk to use their custom ID badges to clock in out without the need to enter and employee number or carry an additional card.
Mitrefinch's latest version of TMS brings a revolution in software design to the desktops of supervisors by deploying an all web based solution eliminating the need for bulky client / server software. Maersk will run the employee and manager self service module written for Microsoft's Silverlight 4 technology. "Because of the flexibility of Silverlight we'll be able to run this application in Internet Explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome and on both Macs and PCs" Says James Neary, Product Manager for TMS. "This will allow huge scalability for future use"
