 Time & Attendance and Job Costing at DGN Marketing

DGN selected Mitrefinch after an existing system in use was found to be inadequate for their growing needs.  “The new system allows for greater accountability and credibility for managing employees” Says Paul Valtas, DGN’s Director of Human Resources.

DGN Marketing have been a customer of Mitrefinch since 2005.  Mitrefinch implemented its core time & attendance module along with job costing and have supported DGN ever since.  The accounting system in place at DGN through the use of SQL triggers automatically create and expire new customer job numbers as they are created and retired.  Within moments a person can create a new docket and employees can begin tracking time to it. 

“A couple of years ago we had another less expensive system from a vendor that failed in supporting our implementation.  So as far as we are concerned the Mitrefinch system is a good value because it is working for us.”  Continues Paul.  Mitrefinch prides itself on its implementation procedures and strives to make the process as painless as possible.

DGN use the Mitrefinch biometric fingerprint clocks for employees to clock in and out.  Some employees initially approached the new biometrics with suspicion but DGN overcame this “on a case by case basis on the merits of us better managing the business” continues Paul Valtas. 

The ability to be able to track employee time to billable projects is a key factor in the operation of TMS on a daily basis.  Employees enter the docket numbers they are working on at one of the many conveniently located terminals.
