Select Windows

Select WindowsSelect Windows chose TMS to allow managers access to clocking data.

Select Window and Door Systems, based in Maldon, Essex is one of the UK's leading fabricators. The Company has almost 100 employees including a mix of factory and office-based staff.

Following an evaluation of the products available Select Windows specified Mitrefinch's Time & Attendance system to replace its previous computerised system.

Jo Blackman, Finance Manager at Select Windows explains: "Prior to installing Time & Attendance we used another computer-based system which, although good in its time, had long been left behind by the other products on the market. The system did not integrate with PCs and would not allow real time data to be obtained so we made the decision to replace it and bring our operations up to date."

Select Windows uses one main clocking terminal which is used by both factory and office staff. Racks are positioned next to the terminal to hold the cards.

Jo adds: "Our staff clock on and off at the beginning and end of the day as part of their normal routine. They found it easy to adjust to using the Mitrefinch technology with the terminal offering us exceptional levels of reliability."

The inbuilt report writing function gives users the ability to design their own custom made reports as well as providing a range of standard reports already set up.

Jo says: "The Report Writer facility is easy to use and offers us a lot of information. We find the anomalies and daily absences reports particularly useful.

"Since installing the system in January 2004, it has saved us time by providing easy access to accurate information for use when running our weekly payroll. It also gives managers and administrators direct access to the data, allowing us to spend our time on other more important tasks instead of being tied up handling queries.

"We are delighted with Mitrefinch TMS, we only wish we'd made the change sooner!"
