 Foster Wheeler is an international project management, engineering and construction company offering a complete range of services worldwide to the energy and industrial sectors, principally serving the oil & gas, refining, chemicals, petrochemicals and polymers, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and healthcare and power industries. The company, with over 80 years of experience, is headquartered in Reading with substantial full capability offices in Glasgow, Teesside and Johannesburg.
Foster Wheeler uses Mitrefinch's TMS system to manage the time and attendance requirements of its 2000 employees (which comprise permanent, contract and agency staff) based across its Reading, Glasgow and Teesside sites.
The TMS system was selected and installed in early 2002, replacing the Company's old mainframe system. This allowed the company to implement a comprehensive flextime working system across all its UK offices in 2003.
TMS administrators within each department are empowered to process holidays for staff, and provide reasoning behind anomalies. The system also allows Foster Wheeler Energy to compare swiped hours against scheduled and billed hours.
