Mr. Griffiths concludes that TMS has proved, “excellent,” for Watts Industries.
Watts Industries is part of the Watts Water Technologies family with operations in North America, Europe and Asia. Watts designs, manufactures and sells an extensive line of flow control products for the water quality, residential plumbing & heating, commercial and OEM markets.
In 2009, at the office in Burlington, Ontario, the decision was made to replace the existing time and attendance system. Their old system was operating poorly and they had to decide whether to upgrade or purchase a replacement. According to Payroll and Benefits and co-ordinator, Glenn Griffith, of all the other solutions considered, the Mitrefinch Time Management System (TMS) was clearly the best product: it met Watts Industries’ requirements and had the most advanced web module.
The Mitrefinch implementation team set out a sufficient time-frame to get the new system up and running. Once the staff at Watts Industries had been trained by Mitrefinch and learned the benefits of the new web capabilities, the system was well received across the board. TMS now supports 122 employees on site. Supervisors are able to access daily information about employees’ working patterns before shifts begin.
TMS has brought many obvious benefits to Watts Industries. Mr. Griffith affirms that the system “does a good job of keeping track of absenteeism,” supplying a visual record of who is where when and meaning that “everyone is accountable.” The Payroll and Benefits Co-ordinator also appreciates the fact that anyone can access the system anywhere via the web, allowing some employees to work from home. Mr. Griffiths concludes that TMS has proved, “excellent,” for Watts Industries.
