TMS saves staff a considerable amount of time each day.

In March 2005 they made the move to Mitrefinch TMS from an older system that was becoming outdated.

Payroll Manager, Shirley Lall was responsible for running the clocking system and payroll.  Everyday she had to manually poll the clocks and create laborious reports by hand.  The system they had in place was unstable and would often fail leading to costly delays.

Keeping track of employees was a difficult process for Plant Manager Mark Polak and his team of supervisors.  Employees would often report for overtime with different supervisors making individuals' attendance and availability hard to track.

Both managers had to spend considerable time responding to requests and chasing up information from supervisors to maintain the system's accuracy.

Descor wanted to find a system that would allow the supervisors to approve paid and absence hours for their own staff and automate the process where possible to allow the managers to use their time more efficiently.

They felt that the Mitrefinch system offered them excellent value for money and all the functionality they required.  It was also an important consideration that Mitrefinch could implement the project within the time frame Descor required.

TMS now saves Mark, Shirley and the supervisors a considerable amount of time each day.  Mark advises "The supervisors can now approve exceptions and have instant access to the work on the system so they have a clearer picture of when their staff are working and when they are available.  They can also access contact details when they need them, saving the time of querying myself and Shirley each time"

Shirley estimates that TMS saves her at least 10 hours work every week.  "With the old system I had to manually poll the clocks and run reports which could take hours everyday - now I only have to go in when I need information.  Polling is done automatically and supervisors can access most of the information they need themselves.  The system is much easier to maintain and therefore more accurate.  Exceptions stand out clearly and can be authorised by the relevant supervisors.  This frees up my time to focus on key payroll tasks"

Descor were delighted with the service they have received from Mitrefinch.  Mark adds "The trainer was very patient - no question was too much trouble and technical support has been very good.  Mitrefinch really exceeded our expectations"

Shirley adds "We have acted as references for Mitrefinch on many occasions and happily recommend them to other companies within our business network.  If we look to expand our employee management systems in the future Mitrefinch will be our first port of call."
