Canadian Blast Freezers chose Mitrefinch for their time and attendance needs after experiencing rapid expansion – “We used a paper system and once we were growing it was clear that an automated system was necessary.”
“Our paper system took between eight to ten hours a week when we were smaller,” said Canadian Blast Freezers HR Advisor Heather Chartrand.

Canadian Blast freezers chose Mitrefinch for its features, customization and ease-of –use.
“The system has more functionality than the others we looked at,” said Heather Chartrand.
Canadian Blast Freezers uses the Mitrefinch TMS along with biometric clocks to manage the time and attendance needs of 120 staff members; they also depend on Mitrefinch for their access control.
“Our system controls eight of their doors, two exterior gates and a turnstile,” said Howard Rabb, Operations Manager for Mitrefinch Canada.
“This setup allows their drivers to access the yard area without accessing the main building.”
Since implementing the system Heather has customized the highly flexible system to suit her company’s specific requirements.
“I added a notes page so management and supervisors could see performance reviews, disciplinary actions, etc.,” said Chartrand.
“The system gives us traceability, transparency and efficiency. Overall for time and attendance tracking and payroll purposes the system is very good.”
